Dear Friends,
We need your help! Everyday we are turning away animals, simply because we do not have the facility to hold more. Every time we turn an animal away, we may be condemning it to death simply because we lack the funding for appropriate space and necessary care. As a no-kill refuge, that is unacceptable!
The outreach and rescue mission program has grown, as have the needs and requirements to properly staff and adequately supply the facility.
If Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission is to truly make a difference in the lives of animals, then we must focus our efforts on finding solutions to our community's problem.
Our next big goals include low-cost spay/neuter clinics and the purchase of a large tract of land on which to house the many different animals that we at WARM care for.
We aim to make the WARM farm a place where people enjoy visiting and learning while petting and playing with the animals.
WARM could not function without you and with your continued generosity, we plan to keep growing in order to help more animals, educate more people and perhaps even eliminate the wholesale slaughter of once loved pets in our area.
Thank you for your kindness and concern for the many stray, homeless and poorly treated animals whose misery we are working so hard to alleviate.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors
Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission
Important Message
WARM lost its Adoption Center in the Inlet Square Mall on December 29, 2007. The Mall is undergoing extensive renovations and we were not invited to return.
We need a new place desperately so we can continue to give our rescued animals a chance for new loving homes. Brian Scalise has offered to build for us at cost and his wife, Nicole, has set up a building fund at Conway National Bank.
Anyone wanting to make a contribution to this fund can go into any Conway National Branch and have the teller enter it for you or you can mail it to -
The Conway National Bank,
P. O. Box 4539,
Pawleys Island, SC 29585
But be sure to mark it for the WARM Building Fund. If you know of any places that would possibly suit us, please call Julie Finlayson at WARM, 347-6583. And please – talk with everyone you know, WE NEED YOUR HELP. |
