Salem and his sister were dumped at the end of our road in one of our neighbors driveways. He is estimated to be 9 months old (as of Feb 26) and is all hound puppy. He's got energy, wits, wants to smell all the smells and uses his voice when he's unhappy.

Salem is very smart and is already starting to potty train and is crate trained. He's got his typical puppy habits, jumping, counter surfing and "oh squirrel!" As much as he's all over the place, he's also eager to learn and please. He is very food motivated, so training shouldn't be a challenge. He does have separation anxiety, Salem and his sister have clearly always been together since birth, so separating them has been a challenge for them both. We do not recommend him to be an apartment or condo dog because of his anxiety of being alone. Unless you are willing to work with him and fix it, because he is a howler. He loves all dogs, just wants to play, play play. We definitely want him to go to a home with another dog, he needs to have someone with him.

He's not aggressive towards cats at all, but he approaches them like they're dogs to play and doesn't understand why they don't want to. Usually, if he gets a hiss or a swat he'll just move along.
